Spreading Hope: Jinja Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church Brings Gospel to Rippon-Roko Village on Easter Day

Easter, the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection, is a time of joy, hope, and reflection for Christians worldwide. In the spirit of spreading this message of hope, Jinja Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church embarked on a special mission to the Rippon-Roko village, touching lives and hearts with the Gospel message on Easter Day.

Located in a remote area, Rippon-Roko village often lacks access to religious services and spiritual guidance. It is one of the fishing villages in Uganda settling on the lake Victoria shores. Recognising the need to reach out to these communities, PAG -Jinja Church organised a gospel outreach programme, aiming to bring the message of love, redemption, and salvation to the villagers.

Upon reaching the village, the L.C1 Chairman welcomed the church members and officially asked the villagers to join this transformative mission. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement as the Gospel message was shared through songs, prayers, sermon and dance.

The highlight of the outreach was a special Easter service held in the heart of the village. Under the tents, villagers gathered to worship together, reflecting on the significance of Easter and the promise of new life found in Christ.

The service was a powerful reminder of the transformative power of the Gospel and its ability to unite communities in faith and fellowship not forgetting the children who also had a special tent where they sang songs and reflected on the love of God.

In addition to the spiritual nourishment provided through the Easter service, lunch was also served in demonstration of Christ’s love in action in the community.

As the day drew to a close, the impact of the Gospel outreach was evident in the faces of the villagers. Many expressed gratitude for the love and message preached by Brother Tonny Ocak and the entire pastoral team.

Reflecting on the day’s events, Easter is not just a celebration for us; it’s an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who need it most. Today, we witnessed hearts touched, lives changed, and hope restored as 5 people received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.

The Easter Day Gospel outreach to Rippon-Roko village serves as a shining example of the true spirit of Easter – a spirit of love, compassion, and outreach. Through the church’s efforts, they have brought hope to a remote community, reminding them of the transformative power of the Gospel message. To God be the glory.
